Platinum-cure silicone
Also called: platinum silicone
Definition
Silicone cured with a platinum catalyst. It is the high grade of silicone used in medical devices: non-porous, odorless and very durable.
Why it matters when you shop
When a brand names platinum-cure silicone, you get a toy that cleans fully and, for motor-free pieces, can usually be boiled. It is the safest default for anything you put inside you. Pair it with water-based lube.
