TPE

Also called: thermoplastic elastomer, TPR, skin-like sleeve

Definition

Thermoplastic elastomer: a soft, stretchy, rubbery plastic used for most stroker sleeves and many budget realistic toys. It is phthalate-free but porous.

Why it matters when you shop

TPE feels great and is cheap, but it holds moisture and bacteria. Rinse it, let it dry fully, keep it to one person, and plan to replace it. Use water-based lube only, since oils and silicone lube break it down.
