Dual density
Definition
A dildo made from two layers: a firm inner core and a softer outer layer. The core keeps it rigid enough to use, and the outside gives a little like skin.
Why it matters when you shop
Dual density is the realistic feel most people want from a dildo. Look for dual-density silicone (VixSkin is one brand name) rather than a dual-layer PVC or TPE, which is porous.
