Osmolality
Definition
A measure of how concentrated a lube is compared to your body's own fluids. High-osmolality lubes can pull water out of tissue.
Why it matters when you shop
Lubes closer to body osmolality are gentler on vaginal and anal tissue, especially after menopause. Few labels list it, so shorter, glycerin-free ingredient lists are the practical shortcut.
Toys that show it off
Each one keeps the rank it earned on its own list.
