Waterproof vs splashproof
Definition
Waterproof toys are sealed for full submersion. Splashproof toys handle a rinse or a wet hand but not a bath.
Why it matters when you shop
If you want shower or bath play, look for a stated IPX7 rating rather than the word 'waterproof' alone. Splashproof toys clean with a damp cloth and toy cleaner.
